Founded in 1972 in Central Florida, Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corporation is an independent, employee owned land surveying company that has grown to a firm serving Florida's leading private and public organizations. Southeastern Surveying has also successfully completed a variety of assignments in remote locations to include the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and Managua, Nicaragua. With offices in Central Florida and the Panhandle.

Qualified by the Federal Highway Department, the Florida Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental Protection for Design and R/W surveying, and General and Control surveying respectively, the firm employs every level of surveying technology to achieve maximum productivity in the preparation of base maps and surveys for its projects.

Southeastern Surveying has enjoyed a successful working relationship with all of the major theme parks in the Greater Orlando Area to include Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. This work has included acquisition of land, topographic surveys, and construction related services.

With twenty crews in the field, twelve Professional Licensed Surveyors and one Professional Engineer, the firm has an ample staff for any size project.

Surveying technology has developed ways to collect, process, store, transmit, and display information that offer budget and schedule opportunities to the progressive surveyor and the demanding engineer. Southeastern Surveying employs MICROSTATION CAiCE, GEOPAK and AutoCAD Land Development combinations to deliver compatible data in ready-to-use form to its team members.

Southeastern Surveying's infrastructure includes continually updated Quality Control, Operations, Field Procedures, and Graphic Standards Manuals originated and maintained in-house. The Manuals bring discipline and standardization to the work that is easy to translate to customer standards.

Schedules at Southeastern Surveying are updated daily and budgets are reviewed weekly using custom software for time input and a Daily Schedule Report are linked to an F.D.O.T. audited accounting system.

Southeastern Surveying staff includes an in-house programmer for computer interfacing. All graphic data can be provided in MICROSTATION or AutoCAD format and digital terrain model data can be provided in Softdesk, CAiCE, GEOPAK, as well as DXF or DGN file formats.

Southeastern Surveying employs a state of the art G.P.S. System capable of every operational mode. Having this equipment and a staff trained in the use of it has allowed Southeastern Surveying to establish G.I.S. Control Networks for a variety of clients including City of Maitland, City of Cocoa Beach, City of Port Orange and Osceola County.

Southeastern Surveying's team has performed a number of Hydrographic/Bathymetric Surveys for the private and public sector to include F.D.O.T., Orange County Expressway Authority, and the Orange County Parks and Recreation Department.

With the increasing need for Underground Utility installations in our Country's Rights of Way, Southeastern Surveying has incorporated traditional and advanced surveying techniques with dynamic Subsurface Utility practices, in order to produce Utility Permit Mapping for submittal to Government and Private Agencies.

The Sub Surface Utilities division of Southeastern Surveying has evolved into a dynamic part of our overall operation as a result of the engineering communities demand for accurate sub-surface utilities locations both vertically and horizontally. The gathering of this information is accomplished by an experienced team that is equipped with state of the art sub-surface designation equipment and a vacuum excavation system that will handle any task assignment both small and large. Employing this equipment precludes the need for outsourcing your soft excavation tasks.
